TL;DR - This likely won't affect Sharing is Caring, but it may change future projects.

The company ILLUSION, the developers behind Koikatsu and Honey Select, announced that they will be shutting down and no longer selling or supporting their products.

To be honest, I don't know what that means for me as developer (or other developers) who uses Koikatsu Party for the graphics for my project. As far as I'm aware, it shouldn't impact us at all so long as another company doesn't swoop in to claim the rights and then take legal action against anyone like us. But that's not to say it can't happen.

I've considered learning Daz 3D in the past simply because I like the more realistic look and higher quality images, but while the application itself is free the assets are not and it would be quite an investment to get everything I would need. The additional trouble is that rendering is much more resource intensive and takes significantly longer than Koikatsu.

Long story short, this likely isn't going to affect development of Sharing is Caring, but it is making me consider a change for future projects... if I can afford it lol.
